Drexel Women's Four Wins Shore Boys Regatta, Men Place Second

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Drexel women's four defeated cross-town rival La Salle, Saturday at the Shore Boys Regatta to take the top spot in 20:54. La Salle completed the race in 21:05. Drexel's varsity eight crew was edged at the line by Lehigh and finished in 16:59, good enough for third place.

In the men's competition, Drexel's varsity eight placed second in 15:01 behind Lehigh, who won the race with a time of 14:33. Drexel's junior varsity eight boat earned a fifth-place finish in 15:43.9, just behind Lehigh's junior varsity eight (15:43.7).

The Dragons return to the Schuylkill for the Frostbite Regatta on Saturday, Nov. 11. The junior varsity eight will be Drexel's first event of the day, beginning at 1:05 p.m. The Dragons will also compete Sunday, Nov. 12, at the Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta starting at 1:30 p.m. on the Schuylkill.
